The refurbishment involved the construction of a rear house extension to create a new, enlarged kitchen and living area, significantly improving the functionality and openness of the ground floor layout. As part of the internal works, existing load-bearing walls were carefully removed and structurally altered to allow for a more open-plan arrangement, with appropriate structural supports installed. The new space was finished with underfloor heating to provide an efficient and even heat source, enhancing comfort throughout the area, and was completed with new floor tiling to create a durable, high-quality finish that unified the kitchen and living spaces.
